The unemployment rate in the Tri-Cities dropped to 6 percent last month, which was the lowest of the large metropolitan areas in the state.
The state unemployment rate raised to 9.3 percent in the same time period, according to regional labor economist, Dean Schau. The potato harvest and other agriculture strenghtened the employment rate last month as well.
