The lawn and landscape speak volumes.  Keep the lawn green with regular watering and the occasional fertilizing treatment.  Also, mow as needed and include edging.  Be sure to trim the shrubs and hedges, and weed the plant beds.  Colorful seasonal flowers is always a nice addition.  And don’t let stray trash collect along the fence line.

The meteor shower that performed last night is supposed to be even better tonight.  It only occurs once a year, but with the clear night sky, it should be visible to the whole Tri-City area.  Residents of Pasco, Kennewick and Richland, as well as surrounding communities can enjoy the magnificant spectacle of shooting lights.  After resting up from viewing the meteor shower, stop by Distinctive Properties in Kennewick and visit with the stars in the world of Real Estate.  There will be professionals in the office over the weekend, so ask what’s available for sale, or discuss the steps involved in selling your home if that’s your plan.

Finding the right home for some of the people coming into the greater Tri-City area is getting more of a challenge. In Kennewick especially.

The Tri-City (Kennewick, Pasco, Richland, West-Richland) market is fast turning from a Buyers market to a Sellers market. That is not true of all neighborhoods or all price ranges.

If we list a nice property under $ 250,000 we’re seeing it sold with 30 days, if it is under $ 150,000 and in good condition and nice neighborhood it is sold with 10 days. You have to understand anyone is seeing the market a little differently, a balanced market to me is: the average home that sells with 120 days. We are seeing 2 and 3 offers on well price properties, with very little negotiation.
